Rural communities are wonderful places to live and work, which is why nearly 60 million people – one in five Americans – call them home. From Bagley to Stitzer to Cassville and all parts in between, rural communities have unique healthcare needs. National Rural Health Day is an opportunity to celebrate the “Power of Rural”, bringing to light the challenges and showcasing the dedicated efforts of rural healthcare providers to keep our communities healthy and strong.
“Our area small towns and farming communities are wonderful places to live and work; they are places where neighbors know each other and work together,” says Dave Smith, Grant Regional Health Center President/CEO. “The hospitals and providers serving these rural communities not only provide quality patient care, but they also help keep good jobs in rural America.”
