Fuerste Eye Clinic has expanded another full-service eye clinic location in Lancaster! Dr. Tyler Risma practices General Ophthalmology and will see patients and perform surgery in Lancaster. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all eye conditions. He performs small incision cataract surgery, which promotes faster healing and better results. He also has extensive experience glaucoma, pediatrics, cornea and neuro-ophthalmology. When asked to describe his medical practice philosophy, Dr. Risma explains, “I hold myself to a high standard of patient care and treat each patient as if they are a family member. I work hard to do what is best for my patients.”
Dr. Risma joined the Fuerste Eye Clinic in Dubuque Iowa in August 2018. Tyler was raised in Rochester, Minnesota and went on to attend Wheaton College in Illinois where he graduated in Applied Science. He attended the University of Iowa College of Medicine and did a combined internship in Medicine and Ophthalmology. Tyler continued an additional three years to complete his Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic. He has published numerous articles, given many presentations and has received many awards while in residency training.

"Our new location within Grant Regional Health Center will help ensure that and provide a new level of care and convenience so patients do not have to travel for this important service.
